The workshop was planned as a kick-off event for starting the drafting of the negotiation position of Serbia on Chapter 11. Two main aspects of the preparation of the negotiation position were discussed: organization of the process for drafting the negotiation position, based on the experience of Bulgaria and Montenegro and the content of the Negotiation position with the presentation of the main elements of the negotiation positions of Bulgaria, Croatia, and Montenegro.

The workshop was organized via Zoom with simultaneous interpretation for all participants. The technical support of the seminar was sufficient and provided the possibility for active participation of all parties involved.  There were 29 participants in the workshop from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and Ministry of European Integration.

During the first panel, it was the presentation of the organization of drafting of the negotiation position in Chapter 11 in Bulgaria delivered with some examples and recommendations by the expert Snezhana Blagoeva. The experience of Montenegro was shared by the expert Danijela Stolica. There was a section for questions and answers after the presentations.

The second panel was dedicated to the presentation of the main requests in the negotiation positions of Croatia, Montenegro and Bulgaria.

The main issues and challenges of Serbia in the negotiation process in Chapter 11 were also discussed, and a preliminary overview of the most important elements of the negotiating position were presented.
